The former Premier League and Union Cup champions Pamba FC have now moved second in their group in the ongoing First Division League (FDL). Pamba gained the position after beating Transit Camp 1-0 at Nyamagana Stadium over the weekend.

The match’s solitary goal was netted by Severine Costantine in the 36th minute. Pamba FC are now placed second after posting seven wins, two draws and losing four matches. They have netted twenty two goals and conceded fourteen.

Speaking after the match, Pamba FC head coach Ally Kisaka said his team didn’t play well despite wining the game. He said, however, he will rectify some mistakes his team committed.

According to him, his midfielders didn’t play as he wanted because they were allowing their opponents to dominate the ball all the time.

Commenting about their opponents, Kisaka said their opponents were playing a physical game and used a lot of energy.

The former Zanzibar Heroes coach said his charges will keep feet on the ground and now focused in their next three away matches against Mgambo Shooting at Ally Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora, Mashujaa FC at CCM Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma and Police Tanzania at Ushirika Stadium in Moshi.

On his side, Transit Camp team manager Chabandi William said his team played well despite failing to utilize the chances they created in both halves. Meanwhile, Geita Gold is now leading group B with 26 points, Boma FC is placed third with 23 points.

Arusha United are fourth with 22 points while Police Tanzania are fifth with 20 points. Green Warriors are on sixth place with 19 points and Dodoma FC are eighth with 17 points. Transit Camp are ninth with 14 points.

Mgambo Shooting are glued bottom with five points while AFC Arusha are eleventh with 11 points and Mashujaa are placed tenth with 12 points
